The Relationship Fix
"Dedicated to helping you heal your relationship and win your love back."
Nothing is more important in life than our relationships with other
people.
And most important is that one special relationship with our romantic partner.
Although it is true that we want to be complete as a person by ourselves, it’s also true that a
close, loving, supportive relationship with another equally complete person can add immeasurable joy and depth to
our life.

However, a long-term relationship is a growth process for both parties. No one is the same
person they were five years ago or the same person they will be in another five years. Hopefully the change will be
continued growth and development.
Sometimes that growth isn’t always smooth, even an the individual. Make it two people, each with
their own individuality as well as their relationship, and the growth can feel pretty rough.
Sometimes it gets rough enough to threaten the relationship. It can seem for a while that love
has died.
I’ll be blunt here: sometimes the problem is someone taking things for granted.
I think it’s a Joni Mitchel song that has the line: “Don’t it always seen to go that you don’t
know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone...”
Too often it seems like that with the people and the relationships in our life.
We can love a person, know that our life would be incomplete without them, yet not pay the
attention we should to the relationship.
Sometimes we don’t realize until our love is gone that relationships are not static. A
relationship isn’t something you get and then have forever.
You can compare a relationship to a beautiful garden - it needs ongoing care and attention.
Neglect it and it whithers and dies.
But with proper care and attention that same garden becomes more beautiful and exuberant every
year.
If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve had the wake up call. Maybe you know now how you should
have treasured the relationship. You’ve learned and you know how you’d do things differently.
If you had the chance.
And that’s a big part of the issue, isn’t it?
For whatever reason, your lover’s passion for you has cooled. The sound of your voice no longer
thrills them. If they’re thinking about you at all, the thoughts may not be pleasant.
How can you change that? How can you re-ignite the passion and the true caring?
